Welcome to Boise Valley Piano

I am Megan Cook, sole music teacher and owner of this east end studio.

A Boise native with wanderlust, I have travelled and studied and I brought music with me wherever I went.

I have been teaching private piano lessons for almost 15 years. Here in Boise and previously in Dublin, Ireland.

My musical education began with piano lessons at age 10. I held participation in all of my school choirs and the competitions associated with membership. The College of Idaho provided my first platform of study in vocal performance and piano. Those skills travelled with me to Seattle and many venues around Ireland that hosted bands I was lucky play with.  I settled in Dublin where I met my husband and then furthered my knowledge at the Temple Bar Music Centre in music technology.  The Royal Irish Academy of Music solidified my formal training . There, I studied for my teaching diploma and then began my first home studio, Phoenix Piano. A transatlantic move with my family in 2014 returned me very happily to Boise where Boise Valley Piano has continued bringing music home.
